In the recent past the Kiplinger newsletter has mentioned the fact that there are renewed efforts underway in researching & developing nuclear power from Thorium decay. It's my understanding that many decades ago the US lost interest in developing Thorium-based energy when it became clear to them that they couldn't create atom bombs out of the low decaying element.
I'm curious, What qualifies this as a so-called CF experiment?
