It would only be a heat source. I see absolutely no evidence that cold fusion has a limited COP. On the contrary, it often works with no input power. Researchers can sometimes make it work in the lab with a high COP, or with no input at all. After they learn to control it, I am certain they will know how to make it work at a high COP anytime on demand. - Jed
