Yes, these were basically cathode discharges – notably using a metal oxide cathode (which ties in with Holmlid). Looking back, it is entirely possible that dense hydrogen was involved. Ken always claimed to have a secret process to activate the cathode, and also claimed that there was energy gain from the discharge – so in retrospect the best candidate now looks like dense hydrogen. No one else could duplicate his work. I knew Ken going back long before most of the papers on http://www.svn.net/krscfs/ were added. He lived in this area during his last years and had been funded by Mark Goldes at one point. Ken built not only his own devices but his own test equipment. He would not let others test anything he built (except for his son Steve). He had such exotica as a self-made electron microscope in his home lab (which was larger than most homes but which he lost due to lost funding). He was not motivated to commercialize his work. Sadly, KS was extremely secretive and paranoid, especially right before his death, and consequently he will not be given the credit he deserves. For years, Ken would send comments and papers for to me to post for him on vortex, since he was generally too suspicious of public forums to post directly. He suspected the MIB were keeping a close eye on his work. Maybe they were :-) BTW – I recently learned this factoid - but have never seen it in print: that Ken believed the muon to be the smallest possible EV/EVO … which he believed to be composed entirely of electrons (~207), with most of the charge being neutralized (as with the larger versions of EV).
