I appreciate the shout out.

This is an important point. The literature on cold fusion includes many
marginal papers and many mistakes. HOWEVER, as Jones says, if there were
large numbers of neutrons and gamma radiation, this would have been
observed and reported many times. The literature is not *that* wrong.

What's more, it is easy to determine this. Just go to LENR-CANR.org, and at
the top of the page where it says "This Google™ Custom Search finds files
at LENR-CANR only" and enter the search term "neutron." You will find many
papers describing the neutrons that have been detected, from Pd, Ti and
other metals. You can see the levels are low and the emissions are
sporadic. Ed Storms thinks these neutrons are the product of fractofusion
or some other conventional reaction. Okay perhaps the neutrons are a
"relevant factor" in some sense, but since the reaction often occurs
without them, clearly they do not play an essential role.

There really is no excuse for not knowing this.
