The internal pressure of an overloaded Ni or Pd metal lattice may also in some manner exhibit the jahn-teller-effect. It may be in Ni and Pd that the magnetic susceptibility changes dramatically to modify the energy states of the nuclei some and induce transitions that are called LENR. It could happen if inner shell electrons were induced to line up magnetically as well as the outer shell electrons. Who knows?
