adequate guide as to the details of an experiment, may I direct your
attention to a wonderful little book
Thanks for your suggestion about this book. When I spoke with Mike Melich a
few years ago, I was fascinated by his determination to travel the U.S. and
the U.K. to interview folks who were, or had attempted CF. He said, "You
can't learn anything meaningful from reading a paper." Basically, he echoed
what you said. And your example of the video of F&P is a good point.
McKubre also has a similar experience with Case. They couldn't get their
replication of his cell to work until they stood next to him and literally
observed what he did and how he did it. After that, it was cake.
