Hi,

If Faux D masquerades as normal D, then a considerable proportion
of heavy water may comprise Faux D. Therefore perhaps some of the
CF experiments that only produce excess heat when using heavy
water, do so, because of the relatively high Faux D content. 

This is really just a "half formed" thought. I can't envisage the
actual mechanism yet.
