Wow. Looks like many good minds are circling around slightly different
aspects of this phenomenon.
Not sure if anyone has yet understood exactly what is happening here,
but the pieces of the puzzle seem to be getting filled-in faster by the
day.
This could be the year when it all finally comes together.

description on this strange configuration, although you are very close in
your guess, yet it does indeed depend on chemical action in the cell to make
it work.
