I was listening to the news on my car radio and I was quite happy to find that
the place I am now living, Huntersville NC, is the number 2 place in the USA to
live. I sort of suspected that. There are flower parks, open air restraints
throughout the place. Good news, nice people, I like it here.

Then I tuned inot a talk show  with James Lovelock; global environmental
scientist. He said, essentially that we have exceeded the carbon dioxide
tipping point. Within 100 years the only inhabitable place on the planet will
be the poles. Billionss will die. The few remaining will spend the next 100,000
years living in a new stone age. Its already too late, nothing can be done to
stop it.

He is said to have correctly predicted an era of climatic storms 20 years ago.
I don’t believe this. Sure we have storms but we had them 20 years ago also.
The only factor, in my opinion, that is different is that people now live in
areas the are endangered by storms.

I hope Lovelock is wrong. I hope my paper coming out in IE this September
issues in a age of new energy.

Lovelock says, enjoy the time you have left. God help us if he is correct
