When I try to measure the BB motor resistance with a DVM the meter jumps all over the place, in the neighborhood of 1 k ohms. The mean value of the jumps depends on where the wheel is positioned. The "eyeballed" mean values varied from 0.3 k to 1.8 K. depending on where the wheel was, even though it was moved in small amounts.

There are 5 different conductors involved: graphite, brass, copper, aluminum, and at least one type of steel, possibly two. This may be a complex thing.

We had a fair sized (Mag. 5) quake here when I was typing the prior post. No matter. Typo rate is probably the same - bad.
