Takahashi also pointed out that calibrations with a Joule heater return a large fraction of the heat reliably, which proves the instrument works. It is kind of noisy, as you would expect, but it works.

All along I have acknowledged that the calibrations worked but that slow flow bothered me.

Arata used two or three different methods of calorimetry, by the way, all much better than the method he reported in Round 1. I seem to have misplaced the paper he handed out but as soon as I clean up and find it I will describe it here.
