Slate had an article following MF's death. Ostensibly on cold fusion
"moonbattery", but better informed on the Hot Fusion scam :
http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/nuclear_power/2013/01/fusion_energy_from_edward_teller_to_today_why_fusion_won_t_be_a_source_of.html?utm_source=tw&utm_medium=sm&utm_campaign=button_toolbar

(like they quietly went from continuous operation to unspecifiedly periodic.)

The independent article also repeats the JET (Joint European Torus) record
output of 16MW.

But they had to put in 24MW -- so Q was about 0.7 -- and it only ran for 0.5
seconds. That means that they got a hefty 2 kWH out of it!

Not to mention Hot Fusion's dirty little secret -- all those neutrons make the
entire structure radioactive .... which the wiki article describes as a "very
short halflife" of ........ FIFTY YEARS !!!
