Sorry about the dupe, the mailing list software had crashed and I was very
confused as to why the message wasn't going out, so I tried sending it
again before I figured out I just needed to restart mailman :-)

I am pleased to announce that the Interreality Project has released
version 0.23.0 of the Virtual Object System (VOS)!
The Interreality Project works to develop a free and open platform for
multiuser 3D virtual reality and interactive, collaborate 3D virtual
spaces. We have developed the VOS framework and the VOS Browser
Ter'Angreal, which enable you to chat in and explore VOS virtual worlds.
VOS uses the Crystal Space 3D engine for fast high quality graphics.
Download it at http://interreality.org/download
VOS supports Microsoft Windows (binary installer available) most flavors
of GNU/Linux (source only).
VOS is a community based free software (GPL/LGPL) project and is actively
seeking programmers and 3D artists interested in contributing to the
development of the 3D internet!
Changes in this release:
* wxTerAngreal now loads a simple tutorial starting world instead of
starting you at a black screen
* The demo world at interreality.org has been greatly improved
* Various rendering issues related to the size of the rendering window
have been resolved
* New human-readable XML Object Description (XOD) file format for
storing vobjects has been introduced.
* New loading and saving framework has been added, which allows easy
importing/exporting from both VOS and non-VOS file formats
* The vosapp framework has been rewritten to store configuration
variables as vobjects
* Required external build dependencies have reduced to just Boost, which
should make this version of VOS much easier to compile
* Several libraries have been merged into the core library to reduce
clutter
