OK I think I might have figured it out.  'bzr' package merely "suggests"
paramiko, it does not depend on it.   So I had to install
"python2.4-paramiko" seperately.  I'll update the Wiki page to explain this.

Perhaps bzr could recognize the format of a URL, and if it doesn't
support the scheme, give a different error message, like:

  "sftp://blahblah look like an "sftp" URL, but "sftp" is not supported.
Perhaps you must install additional modules for "sftp" support?"

Anyway, it seems to be doing something different... "Fetch phase 0/4".
Doesn't seem to be doing much but someone mentioned earlier that an
initial checkout can take a very long time?
