Matt, thanks for staying with me Installing the fonts now, as I type this
I have a plain old 2 button PS2 mouse, when I ran xf86config, I answered PS2, emulate 3 button, and use /dev/mouse. I have a link ln -s /dev/psaux /dev/mouse (because my old install/setup needed this). I don't think I'm running GPM, I don't see it under ps (but maybe its called something else). # ps -ef UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD root 1 0 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:05 init [2] root 2 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 [kflushd] root 3 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 [kupdate] root 4 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:01 [kswapd] root 5 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 [keventd] root 145 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/syslogd root 148 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/klogd root 155 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/inetd root 164 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/sshd root 169 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/X11/xfs -daemon daemon 171 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/atd root 174 1 0 Mar10 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/cron root 179 1 0 Mar10 tty2 00:00:00 /sbin/getty 38400 tty2 root 180 1 0 Mar10 tty3 00:00:00 /sbin/getty 38400 tty3 root 181 1 0 Mar10 tty4 00:00:00 /sbin/getty 38400 tty4 root 182 1 0 Mar10 tty5 00:00:00 /sbin/getty 38400 tty5 root 183 1 0 Mar10 tty6 00:00:00 /sbin/getty 38400 tty6 root 730 1 0 Mar10 tty1 00:00:00 -bash root 1325 164 0 01:38 ? 00:00:02 /usr/sbin/sshd jstrauss 1326 1325 0 01:38 pts/0 00:00:00 -bash root 1329 1326 0 01:39 pts/0 00:00:00 -su root 1479 1329 0 01:45 pts/0 00:00:00 ps -ef Jay ---- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Roper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, March 10, 2002 11:18 PM Subject: Re: [vox-tech] Setting up X > Okay, it looks like you have the appropriate X server starting up now. > You seem to have two remaining problems.
