The possible values are: DAEMON, USER, AUTH, LOCAL0, LOCAL1, LOCAL2, LOCAL3, LOCAL4, LOCAL5, LOCAL6, LOCAL7. The default is AUTH. =3D=3D=3D use above to have sshd log to level local5, then /etc/syslog.conf =3D=3D=3D local5.* @log.host =3D=3D=3D Let me know how it turns out, like if you find a secure syslogd you like (to encrypt syslog messages on wire).
