Hi,
I have a problem with an 2.5" IDE HDD on Voyage Linux running on a Alix2c2
board. The TinyBIOS on the alix board recognize the HDD with correct geometry
and label. It also attaches as a "slave" drive, since my compact flash card is
the master, carrying Voyage Linux. The booting starts from the CF card and
during the boot of Voage Linux, the following read/write problems occur for the
HDD (this is failure parts of dmesg, see below). It also repeats _alot_ of
times (retrying). I've tried with two different HDDs, one 4.8GB and one 80GB.
Both works fine on a notebook I have without any problems at all.
I've tried with two different 44pins IDE cables.
I hope someone can give me a hint or advice about this issue. Google wasn't
giving me any straight answer either.
