Hi Kim,
it seems that configuration is the same, but how do you explain that
after the very first reboot after installation USB does not sound
anymore?
If the DAC output is S/PDIF (I have also a Juli@ soundcard) it sound
correctly..
mps play output:
The Alan Parsons Project - Silence And I
[playing] #2/2 0:10/7:23 (2%)
volume: 74% repeat: off random: off single: off consume: off
Thanks
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
I used XMOS USB 2.0 development board and also got the same "cannot
get ctl value" warning like below:
root@voyage:~# dmesg|grep can
[ 7.972152] cannot get ctl value: req = 0x83, wValue = 0x201, wIndex =
0xa004
[ 7.973150] cannot get ctl value: req = 0x83, wValue = 0x200, wIndex =
0xa004
[ 7.974282] cannot get ctl value: req = 0x83, wValue = 0x201, wIndex =
0xb004
[ 7.977419] cannot get ctl value: req = 0x83, wValue = 0x200, wIndex =
0xb004
But my 0.8.5 MPD test bed works very well, see my "lsusb" and "cat
/proc/asound/cards" below:
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

XMOS XMOS USB Audio 2.0 at usb-0000:00:0f.5-1, high speed
Show me the output of "mpc play" then.

Hi Bruno,
Can you show the output of the following commands:
1. "lsusb"
2. "cat /proc/asound/cards"
You may try to unplug the USB cable and replug it to see if this is
solved. My XMOS development board sometimes goes to UAC1.0 mode and
no sound. After replug it is change back to 2.0 mode and it works
perfectly.

I have an USB DAC (Calyx) that works very fine with Voyage MPD 0.7.5.
When I installed Voyage MPD 0.8 I started to have problem. The DAC
is recognized, but it does not sound. When plugged to the USB port,
appear these messages:
cannot get ctl value: req=0x83, wValue=0x201, wIndex=0Xa00, type=4
cannot get ctl value: req=0x83, wValue=0x200, wIndex=0Xa00, type=4
Same problem with Voyage MPD 0.8.5
Does someone have had the same problem? How to solve it?
Thanks
Bruno
