Hello all, I'm trying to find out whether it is possible to configure MPD and ALSA to send out volume commands to the serial port. I had the following in mind:
1) In the manual for mpd.conf it is listed that I can set the mixer_device seperately from the device where audio is send to. So the audio and volume controls can be two seperate devices. 2) Then I would need a sort of virtual (modified) midi driver that can send the right commands to the serial port. Has anyone ever tried this? Is it even possible or is my logic flawed?
