Other than the changes to the install script in my last post ( .dtbo
instead of .dtb) and the inclusion of the /boot/Modules7.symvers I've
managed to get a successful install on the Pi 2.

Interestingly the Depmod errors only occurred while trying to install
directly to the micro SDcard. If I did a dry run and built the tree on the
local drive first, that error disappeared. Perhaps things weren't keeping
up with it - as follows...

The second issue I was having is one of those black magic things, I think 2
of the card readers - a 4 in one and one of those USB whistles were causing
issues. I couldn't even edit a working microSDCard card ( official raspbian
flash under windows control) without failing, cp'ing, rsyncing all gave
varying results until the Sandisk USB SDcard reader was found. Seamless
writing after that- what problem in fact!?

Anyway, so far so good. Except for the installation of mysql which is
aborting for some reason - remountrw is activated but it crashes - pthread
error and failing to set a given password. Hopefully I'll get that sorted
soon regardless.

Looking forward to a useful install, slightly bloated but workable for
weewx weather and who knows what else. :-)
