This is not a problem Fuji has to fix.
(BTW, they won't fix it and a wouldn't send my camera in)
Actually, AFAIK, Exif2 is a commonly used format for digital cameras.
There are a lot of "converters" for the files, as the only programs that do
NOT support Exif2, are VoyagerNG and Grafikpublisher (the layouting program
coming with TurboPrint). Every other JPEG handling program supports Exif2
(all I have tested, e.g. AdPro, which is VERY old, ArtEffect 3.0, akJFIF,
Cybershow, Photoalbum, and someone told me, PageStream3, too).
Well, I could easily convert some images, but I don't want to convert ALL my
images, which would be very time consuming and recompressing a JPEG is not a
very good thing for image quality.
And, I would lose additional information stored in my "DSCxxxxx.JPG"-Files.
As Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator support JPEG Exif2,
it's essential that VNG does too, as many people will have such images on
their websites in future.
BTW, Olli already requested an example image from me, so I guess, he will
implement Exif2 (I don't think it's much work)
Regards
