Right. And following the same logic, so should 060's. By PC standards
concerning processor speed, only the PPC-based Amigas still have a
right to exist. Why not give everybody a free choice as to what
processor they use? If someone's happy with his 020, let him be. He
can see for himself what he's missing out on when he doesn't upgrade,
and if this is his/her choice, so be it. That's what freedom of choice
is all about. Okay, I have a 060, soon I'll have a PPC, my brother
still runs a 68000 on his A500. He has to live with the fact that he
can't run the same software as I, but this has the advantage that
a) he doesn't have to spend as much money on software as I (most of it
wont run)
b) he gets to spend much more time behind his computer than I (he
likes raytracing a lot)
Sure his computer is outdated, but if he is satisfied with the job the
computer does, well, I won't tell him he should update. He can see
for himself what I can do on my computer, and make then choose not to
upgrade.
