I learnt it the old fashioned way- using a text editor. These days, there ar
specialised text editors, like WebPlug, for HTML authoring. WebPlug is
quite good, but you still need to leatn HTML.
A friend of mine has just got MetalWeb. It's probably the best Amiga WYSIWYG
editor. It's at v 3.01, and works OK. It's quite stable, though it has a
way to go (table support is very dodgy), and takes a while to get used to.
And still, you do need to know some HTML. However, if enough interested
people register, I'm sure it'll get better.
The biggest drawback with MetalWeb is it's requirements. It needs at least
8MB fast ram (and that's pushing it), and it can be a little slow on my 030
A1200T.
You can get either of these off aminet (both are shareware and crippled;
WebPlug limits at 40K, MetalWeb has save disabled), of by going to
http://www.builtwithamiga.org
When I talked to my user group on web authoring, I suggested they first
learn the basics using a text editor, but many found they didn't have the
time, and wanted to "jump right in" with a WYSIWYG editor.
