Well, it is just the same as buying a car. If you once buy a small car of
brand X, then you certainly shouldn't expect to get the all new car of
brand X for half the price just because you already own a car of brand X.

I am at the moment considering buying a new Onkyo amplifier, because my
current Onkyo amplifier is getting a bit old, and when the volume is low it
doesn't plays with the same volume in each speaker. I think I will tell
the retailer that I only want to pay DM 600 for it and not the DM 1200 he
wants. I think it is really pathetic he even dares ask such a ridiculous
price when I already have paid for one Onkyo amplifier some years ago.

I often find it weird that people think they ought to get software upgrades
for free or nearly free just because they once paid for an earlier version.
Software is for some reason not treated as goods the same way as all other
goods are.

Olli has probably spent just as much time making V as he used to make
V-NG, and therefore he just as much deserve to be paid again

Naturally it is a bit sad to pay again if you paid only a few months ago,
but that is the way life is.

You should stop comparing the two products. Voyager NG is not the same as
Voyager 3. It is two different products and ought to be treated as such.

Well, isn't that mostly your own fault? If you had bothered registering
Voyager sooner, you would have gotten a lot of free upgrades.
