I have never experienced anything like this. I have regularly counted to
size of my cache directory and it normally amount quite nicely to the
256 MB cache set in the preferences. Currently it is 267.731.826 according
to DOpus. That's 255.3 MB - exactly like it should be.

I have never experienced any problems with VNG corrupting the harddisk -
nor with V although a week of testing is too short for a real test.

Don't know. My V cache is only up to 8.118.119 bytes so it will take
some time before I reach the 256 MB limit.
