Before I had a GFX card I used to run AmigaLoad, which shows how
fragmented your memory is. I noticed that whenever V crashed, it was when
the Chip mem was very fragged. If you've been viewing image-intensive
sites, it seems that your Chip mem gets fragmented quickly and there comes
a time when V needs to grab a block of Chip mem of size X but can't, so it
crashes.
Something like PoolMem, or anything which tries to combat memory
fragmentation, might help.
