This is a server related problem. Most servers are not configured to
support LZX by default. You have to add LZX to your server's mime types.
This is because the server sends a "Content-type: xxx/yyy" before
transmitting the file, so he has to know what mime type your file is.

I don't use MD, so I can't tell. But it should not depend on MIME prefs
wether you can send a file or not.
