JavaScript is a very bad example. Who really needs this
stupid script-language? What does JavaScript do to make
surfing easier?
There are so many websites that *ensist* on a browser with
JavaScript enabled. If you take a look at such a website
you find out that everything could have done without it.
Okay, you loose those stupid buttons that lightup on
mouseover, but I could live with that.
Oh, and don't forget the security reasons! Even Microsoft
suggest to turn off JavaScript! Isn't this crazy?

Java on the other could be more interesting, even with
security problems. With Java you can do more than HTML
allows *and* that is useful. Let alone the possibilities
Java offers _besides_ the Web.

But to get back to the problem of Wannadoo not letting
Amigas in: A good webmaster would have taken care that a
non whatever-browser can visit the website in a
non-whatever version (replace 'whatever' with JavaScript,
Java, Frames...)

Regards,

Jens
