Oh, and the answer to AGA slowness if *NOT* to 'buy a graphics
card and a new processor' but to CONSIDER buying a graphics
card and a new processor.
It's bad enough KNOWING you need one, but being TOLD to get
one? That's just rude, Andreas.
So, I say to you Burkhard - consider getting a graphics card.
A new processor is irrelevant considering the speed increase
the card will bring (the only BIG speed penalty caused by the
CPU is screen switching, the rest should be dealt with by the
card really)
If you can't get a graphics card (money, no slots) then forget
about it, and simply run in AGA 32 colours *or* do as I did
and get a scandoubler, run all the patches you can find to
speed graphics up and run in PAL: Hires Laced Max. Overscan
in 128 colours :)
