Hi Gil and everybody:

I know of three more in B.C., me and my two sons. Bill, the younger owns a
computer store in a small town in B.C., he sells PCs - says there isn't any
money to be made by selling them - the real income is from fixing them! He
believes that the AMIGA is dead, but says it is the best computer ever made.
My other son, a teacher on Vancouver Isalnd has only recently bought a PC -
for many years he has had Amogas, currently a 2000.
I bought an A1200 just a couple of months before Amiga went belly up. I had
owned a PC - but I refuse to buy another - it is like being on a treadmill to
own one of those things.
My A1200 allows me to do everything I want, free of crashes. I use 0S3.1, a
Typhoon 1230 operating at 40mHZ with 16 meg of fast RAM, a Squirrel and a
100meg ZIP drive, plus a Modem.
I use FinalWriter7, Final Data, Final Calc, Yam, Microdot2, Voyager 2.95 - and
I'm happy with these.
I am unhappy about the state of service in this area, but have had good
service from Safe Harbour in the U.S.A. The last time I talked to them, they
were quite happy with sales of OS3.5
So Gil, maybe there are more like me - who use Amigas but are quiet. I hope
so- It would be a real tagedy if this computer were to be totally displaced by
a poor substitute. As my son who sells computers says, " If you put enough
power into a brick, you can make it fly - and that's what PCs are - a brick"
