I'm not sure how you've managed to get this far without learning about
fonts on computers, but anyway now is your chance to learn.

The simplest thing would be to use just the CS outline fonts supplied
with your Amiga.

There are three formats of outline font used on Amigas: Intellifonts
(names beginning with CS) as supplied, Type 1, and TrueType. The latter
two need drivers from Aminet. Look for ttf.library, for instance.

Microsoft give away a good set of TrueType fonts for use on web pages.
These are the only ones used on 99% of pages. They are on the MS web
site somewhere.

An outline font is used to draw little pictures of each character to
order (glyphs). These can be any size, as requested. In very small
sizes, the results are a bit rough, and it is best to use Amiga bitmap
fonts, which are designed by hand as images ready for use in fixed
sizes.

The computer then arranges the glyphs in rows on the screen.

Hope that helps.
