Hello Ben, On 21 April you "waffled"' > Could you try running V and visiting MFI again, only this time run with a > larger stack, say 65526 or more? Its just a thought. > > If thats no use, can those of you getting near-instant crashes on > http://mfi.co.uk report your CPU and choice of TCP/IP stack? I think her is some relevant info for you concerning MFI item/crashes. I have in use: Workbench 3.5 + BoingBag update. CPU 68040/mmu/fpu TCP/IP stack AmiTCP/Genisis 1.0.6 Voyager 3.2 No relevant patches running. Some newest MCC's as mentioned by other people. I've started with an EMPTY CACHE. Voyager stack: 52000 http://www.mfi.co.uk downloaded fine (except for the layout garbage you mentioned before). After that you will see: Location:http://www.mfi.co.uk/mfihomeworks/default.asp So far so good, you can also go to other links on this MFI page. But the following happens: When you reload the page too quick (i.e. the page is not complete on screen/in memory) the system crashes completely without any Guru. This happens not when you wait long enough, then reloading is no problem. When the system has crashed and after that trying to go back to that particular MFI the system crashes every time. After deleting the cache (everything) the problems are gone. So it has something to do with the "reload page" function in V 3.1/3.2.?? (push button or menu item makes no difference) May be the "URL-History.1" on the cache gets corrupted?? I have mentioned this allready before, not only on MFI but on all URL's with reloading the page too quick. I've also reported this to Keystones see lister 1302. I've followed the same tests with a Voyager stack size of 65526,but that makes no difference. After that I did some tests with Voyager vers.3.0a. With this version you don't have the above problems. The differences I've seen when reloading a page "quick" is that reloading will start AFTER the page is on screen/in memory and the toolbar button doesn't highlight before that. With vers.3.1 and 3.2 reloading starts immediately with the pushbutton highlighted and then the sytem crashes. So should there be some pause before reloading starts i.e.waiting before the page is on screen??? I hope this will get you guys from Vapor some more on the right track to solve this problem. Please let me know if you got some more questions or suggestions for test. By the way Ben how is it with the Eastern eggs? May be you will find some one, bon apetite. (I think it's too late to send you some now. May be next time.) Happy Eastern and good luck. Cheers.
