If you have got another contact manager already running, or Microdot
running (say) and you save a bookmark in V, and then quit
from the other version of CM or microdot, this will save what they
presume to be the latest ammendment over your version containg the new
bookmarks. (I think).
If I have surmised correctly, then it's a shame the programs don't
call CM in an open URL sort of way, which would check if CM was
already running and bring it to the front rather than starting again.
Or if there was one data file was stored in ram, then changes could
be saved to this as soon as they were made in whichever instance of CM
they were made from, and then selecting 'save changes' would copy this
version over the one on HD. And if there was also a small file
detailing which instances of CM were currently running, then if you
ran CM directly, and then added a bookmark in V, that action would see
you already had a version of CM running and send it an instruction to
update its listview.
Just my thoughts anyway.
