Hello.
First of all, thanks to Olli and all the Vapor gang for their continuing hard
work...it's much appreciated, and congratulations on the 'new arrival' Olli.
I've always noticed That when I start Voyager, and later exit, I never get all the
memory back.
Avail flush makes no difference.
The difference varies from 2.2MB to, wait for it, 6.2MB (that just happened, which is
why I did some tracking and am mailing this now).
I brought up executive when this 6.2MB was going on and ran TOP.
What I saw was a bunch of Voyager stuff still running (I have a ilbm if anyone wants
to see it), mainly :-
V's DNS server 4
V's DNS server 3
V's DNS server 2
V's DNS server 1
NETTRACE
muiGfx.library
V's Image decoder process
V's Network & file server
OpenURL handler
Although, 3 don't say V explicitly, I rebooted, brought up TOP and they wern't there.
The only extra program I ran was Voyager and they appeared, and remained on exiting
Voyager.
What I also find, is this memory loss is not consistent.
When I 'lose' 2.2MB (the minimum) the Voyager entries are gone.
When it's higher e.g. 3, 4, 5 MB, they remain.
What's going on Olli ??
Regards...Martin

An English judge, growing weary of the barrister's long-winded
summation, leaned over the bench and remarked, "I've heard your
arguments, Sir Geoffrey, and I'm none the wiser!" Sir Geoffrey
responded, "That may be, Milord, but at least you're better informed!"
