Ahh! But I have sussed it! All you have to do is un tick (or uncheck) the
wordwrap option on the post page and everything will be alright.
Apparently wordwrap has become the default setting. Watch out though, or you
may end up posting a very long line.
I press return when I get to the edge of the post area.
