Hi,
I've downloaded the latest alpha snapshow and would just like to
congradulate Olli and the team on an excellent job! Although I know that
it's not really worthwhile reporting bugs, I just have a suggestion or two
that I feel would improve Voyager further...
Firstly (this request is really for me ;) I find that the image decoders
do not work with LimitWhite (Aminet) For people who do not know what it is,
LimitWhite
is a very useful program for A1200 users with dodgy hardware, and when the
system is loaded (ie HOT) lots of graphical errors show up on-screen, but
only if true white is displayed (255,255,255). LimitWhite patches the
system to use a light grey instead of white, which completely gets rid of
graphical corruption :) My problem is, however, that voyager's image
decoders seem to not be affected, and _only_ pictures cause trouble if
there is white in it... is anyone still following me? ;) Basically, I'd
just like the image decoders to be able to work with LimitWhite ;)
My second and last suggestion (for now) is the implemtation of a
download log... so, say if you are downloading a 10mb file, then the
computer suddenly crashes and I lose my internet connection, it would be
handy to have a log which can resume the file as soon as I run voyager
again... and yes I know that you can get the URL of a file from its
comment, but why not have such a handy feature built-in? ;)
