I don't recall calling anyone lame. I do recall questioning the practice
of using JS to create a simple link. JS is not a standard in HTML AFAIK.
It is a proprietary extension.

You have put an awful lot of words in my mouth here. When was I
complaining about what isn't there yet? Don't get me wrong, I want to see
V fully compliant with the latest version of JS as much as anyone else.
But you have gone and twisted my original intent so far that now it
appears as if I don't want JS or I want every webmaster in the world to
abandon it.

What I would like to see, however is webmasters sticking to standards based
HTML as much as possible, and only using JS when it provides some benefit.
This aids them in making thier pages widely accessible and more robust.
