Fine, OK, you want it to work. But that doesn't mean that other features CAN'T be
implemented in the meantime. Some things are just a LOT easier to implement than
others. Some of the longer running bugs are probably much harder to track down and
resolve.
It's perfectly possible to implement other features without it having any kind of
noticeable impact on how quickly other bugs get fixed...
A blanket statement that no extra features should be implemented is just not very
helpful.
