As far as I know, Stefan is still beavering away at MUI.
It's disappointing that when an author simply goes quiet, Amigans
fear the worst and assume he went and bought a large PC to make
faceless Windows apps.
A non-Amiga example: I use a program called LeechFTP a lot, a
really nice freeware FTP client. It hasn't been updated in a year
and I thought maybe it was down to studying or something. But
in September, lo and behold, the author announces a new app
called BitBeamer which is basically LeechFTP with knobs on! It's
commercial, but all I want is a decent non-Cute FTP client! I
can't wait!
Now, if I were defeatist like you lot, I would have bought CuteFTP
and been frustrated with it ever since. But I had faith in the author
and foresight enough to stick it out to see what happened: and
verily it is happening.
It's not like the core MUI 3.8 components are riddled with bugs,
or crash computers, is it? (I bet Zapekwill prove me wrong now ;)
