another thing:
i (and not only me) found that the current alpha (and the last two also)
became *very* slow in rendering data on screen. on some pages you actually
can see how the window is redrawn, means, drawing a grey background almost
takes 1 second here drawing from top to bottom.
i use a pIV with p96. a4000/060/ppc
it also happens when i use my cvision ppc with cybergraphx4. this is of
course a bit faster but *ways* slower than the current "released beta" version
does it.
layouting is indeed much faster. it is hust the rendering which takes
long. the last alpha which did not have this problem here was the first alpha
with the new layouter (3.3.23?)
