I frequently get the same problem , and usually reject the connection
because if I get an error message then I can't see how the SSL
connection can still be secure . Sometimes I finally get a secure
connection if I keep trying , but somtimes don't .
I am using Voyager 3.2 , SSL module 8.6 .
I have TLSv1 switched off ( the default setting ) and have never had
it switched on , mainly because I don't interfer with settings that I
know nothing about , which is probably most of the settings when I
come to think about it :-)
The problems above can be very annoying but I thought it was a
regular occurrence for everyone , until I seen the above .
A couple ofmonths ago I came across a more worrying SSL problem .
I was trying to buy OS 3.9 from www.weirdscience.co.uk .I filled in
the submission form ( a secure connection page which I received
without any problems ) .
I then tried to "submit" the form , but I kept getting SSL errors
which I rejected .
After several attempts I finally gave up and stopped trying to send my
order .
Several days later I was surprised to get the OS 3.9 delivered by post
from Weird Science .I didn't think my order had been sent and was now
worried that I was about to be charged for about 6 copies of OS 3.9 .
Fortunately , the company had only proccessed the order once .
I assumed that if I reject an SSL error connection then nothing would
be sent/received to/from that connection .
It has severely dented my trust in online shopping , and wonder if
this was a one off , or should everyone be more carefull when SSL
starts playing up .
