I had a similar experience last night except that mine involved a new fastlink.
I added a new fastlink in the settings and saved them, when the new button appeared in
the fastlinks row I clicked on it and V crashed.
Rebooted, went back on line, reloaded V. New fastlink still there and this time it
worked.
