As for making it look good - or even so that it gives some more usability to V - then that's HIGHLY doubtful. Your standard pointer colours are transparent, black, beige and red. We could design pointers to use this colour scheme, but users could change these colours for a custom pointer and our pointers would be made practically useless. Forcing people to use a more sane palette (black, grey and white perhaps) would probably be unacceptable. Setting the palette ourselves.. I don't think that's possible. Add to that the fact that it's apparently quite difficult to work out whether Hi-res pointers are being used: certainly AWeb doesn't go so far as to find out, and the "hover hand" is in lo-res. It also looks sunburnt and almost slightly radioactive (to prove the earlier point) Pointers really aren't AmigaOS' strong point.
