sorry. simply foreget to mention what actually goes wrong ;-)
the code should place a counter on the webpage (and it in fact does
when using ie, mozilla, even ibrowse. so the code is not completely
wrong. when using v3 there is just nothing shown at all...

correct. just because i did not want to let the counter go crazy on my
new page...
