Other things to look for that affect slow boots are:

Using TTF for any default Workbench font.

Something in WBStartup that waits a little too long.

Some cool (but nasty) hacks.

I would check my Fonts preferences and maybe launch snoopdos in the
background from the startup-sequence... see if anything fishy is going
on.  My 1200 takes a while to load, but not any 5 minutes!!!  040,
mediator, P96, a bunch of Hacks...
