I don't suspect there are changes for DNS server preference? Is this
even possible for the VPN client to adjust the DNS server of the windows
machine its running on?
Have you looked at the debug level log output using the VPN Trace
application? My guess is that you are passing phase1 now but are failing
to negotiate a phase2 ( IPsec ) SA.
