Hi All,
Problem:
Shrew VPN Client 2.2.2 failure and reports a time out when used in
VMware Workstation 10 with a paravirtualized NIC.
To Reproduce:
- Create a Windows 7 Virtual Machine on VMware Workstation 10.0.4
build-2249910
- Install VMware Tools in the virtual machine
- Shutdown the virtual machine
- Open the <vm>.vmx file and change the Network Adapter to vmxnet3
Original: ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000"
Changed: ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3"
- Restart the virtual machine
- Download VPN Client version 2.2.2 (vpn-client-2.2.2-release.exe)
- Install the VPN CLient
- Run and configure the VPN Client.
- VPN CLient can not connect to host; error message "negotiation time
occured" after "bringing up tunnel ..."
- Close VPN Client
- Shutdown the virtual machine
- Change the Network Adapter back to e1000
- Restart the virtual machine
- Start the VPN Client -> No problems
Please provide a solution.
