I have tried to adjust the num-mbufs to a value higher than 420000 and this resulted in daemon crash about 1.3 minutes after starting it.
This is happening on -vpp v18.04-rc0~218-g07510dd -CentOS 7.4 - 4.15.0-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64
