All, After a bit of a hiccup before the weekend, make test should now run cleanly.
The root cause for this issue was the retry mechanism in the make test framework. When a test failed and was retried, it was possible that the test framework would give a false positive. That was fixed in: https://gerrit.fd.io/r/#/c/13186/ There was also some collateral where bugs in the tests had snuck in and hidden by the above bug.
