Hi, I am running VPP on an ARM SOC with 1GB RAM. Only required VNET feature is IPsec without any crypto engine (only NULL crypto support is needed) as cryptographic operations are offloaded to the HW. And using LCP VPP plugins (linux_cp and linux_nl) for Linux control plane/IP network-stack.
Current libvnet.so size is around 230MB which is quite big for us. Is there a way to exclude VNET features during build time to reduce libvnet.so size? Is there a way to exclude crypto-engine libs from the build as well ? What's the recommended way of reducing VPP binary footprint? Ideally we would like to run with VPP binary size not exceeding 100MB. Appreciate any ideas/pointers in this regard. Thank you, -pk das
